The first person who came in and checked vitals (I believe the medical assistant) it was forsure not the nurse. Was very rude and smart Alec

The doctor was professional. However, he was cold, lacked compassion, didn't offer me an opportunity to express much or open up the conversation for me to communicate, came off a little scolding and not very positive or polite. I understand that it's his job to notify me of all the details, including worse case scenarios. The manner in which I was spoken to and given the detailed information could have been given to me a lot better. You never want to have a pregnant woman leaving a consultation feeling defeated, like the worse can happen, like there's no hope, overwhelmed, sad and crying. I suggest a prerequisite from the nurse letting the patient know what's to come. That way she can be better prepared mentally and emotionally for what the doctor has to say about her health and the health of the baby. It wouldn't hurt to consider the patient for any thoughts, questions, options, or opinions. Also, it would be more helpful and reassuring to close out the consultation with positive or encouraging words as well.
