About Richard L. Wirz Jr, DO

Care Philosophy I grew up around the field of medicine and asked God to take me as far as He wanted me to go in the profession. I believe He brought me to Mercy. Being a surgeon lets me care for patients, fix something, and see people feel better. I don’t take that trust lightly. I treat my patients as people, not numbers, and feel honored to build personal connections, pray with them and care for them through surgery and recovery.
