The atmosphere and facility were great. Unfortunately, the provider Sarah left me more anxious and unwell than when I entered. Her methods on conversation felt more fear mongering than positive or constructive. I would have liked her to voice her concerns in a more positive light, while reassuring me that nothing was dangerous. I am perfectly healthy and left feeling like I was doing something wrong. A midwife should be a source of comfort, not someone that adds to the fear of pregnancy.

Sarah is amazing! Great listener. Explained things well and great bed side manners.

Okay, so when I sat down with Sarah, I just explained some of my desires for labor. And one of the things I said is I don't want routine care without informed consent. I told her one of the things that I don't need and never have is Pitocin after birth. I prefer hand palpitations and massages. And instead of acknowledging what I was saying, really she pushed the aftercare Pitocin on me with a conversation like I needed to change my mind and just go with what she was thinking. And ultimately she did say it was up to me, but the way she presented it to me made me feel like she was going to be against me if I didn't choose her way. Other than that, I didn't have too many more complaints.
