Care Philosophy
I was born in St. Louis, grew up in Oklahoma City and went to Mizzou. Many members of my family are physicians, but I wanted to try something else. In my senior year, a buddy asked me if I wanted to be a lab tech at a small hospital outside of Columbia. I did, and I realized, by interacting with the physicians and their interactions with patients that I really did want to be a physician. What drew me to internal medicine and primary care is having long term relationships with patients. I'm there for the healthy and the sick times, through the ups and downs of their health journey. We're going to work on achieving your goals. A good day at work is seeing my patients, hearing about their lives and getting to know them on a deeper level--and to see the progress we've made on the conditions we're treating, to see the numbers get better, see their quality of life get better. That's super rewarding.
