A brand new clinic location in Poteau will help Mercy expand its patient care throughout the region.
The new Mercy Clinic Primary Care – Poteau is now open at 2806 N. Broadway St. and replaces the location at 2110 N. Broadway St. Mercy leaders celebrated the new location by holding a ribbon-cutting and blessing Oct. 16 ahead of the clinic’s opening for patient care.
Dr. Arthur Pearson III and Timothy Olive, advanced practice nurse (APN), will continue to provide care for Mercy patients at the new location. In addition, Julie Stover, APN, will join the 5,100-square-foot clinic, adding a third provider to expand patient care at the location.
“I’m just really happy to be here and appreciate Mercy backing us and letting us grow,” said Dr. Pearson, a native of Gore, Oklahoma. Patients at the clinic can be seen for a full range of primary care services, including treatment of minor illnesses and injuries; flu shots and other immunizations; general medical evaluations and wellness exams; and sports and occupational physicals. The clinic will also provide X-ray services, a new addition for Mercy patients in Poteau.
“I believe that our patients are the best there is,” Olive said. “They’ve stuck with us and have awaited this new clinic as well. I love the people of this community. I feel very connected with our patients, and I look forward to continuing our care for them.”
