The Mercy Access Center is responsible for the handling and transferring of all patients to and from Mercy hospitals. Staffed by experienced nurses, our access center is equipped with the latest communication technology to coordinate timely and seamless patient transfers.
Our dedicated team is available 24/7 and ready to handle every step of the transfer or admission process. From beginning to end, we provide ongoing support as we perform the following services:
- Determine and notify all caregivers and departments involved
- Connect physicians to facilitate patient handoff and ensure smooth transfer
- Obtain necessary hospital approvals
- Gather all necessary patient information
- Provide quick follow-up with all caregivers and facilities, as needed
