NICUPS: Neonatal Intensive Care Unit Parent Support

NICUPS™ is made up of a group of former Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) parents who volunteer time to provide support to NICU families. The group offers emotional support to expectant mothers hospitalized on bed rest and to families throughout and after their time spent in the NICU.

Expectant parents do not anticipate a stay in the NICU. NICUPS™ offers encouragement that can only come from those who have lived through the experience.

NICUPs efforts include:

  • One-on-one emotional support for parents
  • Parent group discussions
  • Weekly gatherings for expectant moms hospitalized on bed rest
  • Breastfeeding support
  • Assistance to and essentials for families in crisis
