When you’re having a baby, you want the healthiest possible future for you and your child. Building Blocks of Missouri Southeast (a Nurse-Family Partnership® program) has registered nurses who make free home visits to qualified women during and after pregnancy, empowering them to live healthy. 

Who Qualifies for the Building Blocks Program?

This free pregnancy support program is for women who qualify for Medicaid or Missouri WIC benefits and live in one of the following counties: Bollinger, Butler, Cape Girardeau, Dunklin, Mississippi, New Madrid, Pemiscot, Perry, Ripley, Scott, Ste. Genevieve, Stoddard or Wayne.

No referral is needed. Simply complete the Building Blocks interest form.

What Does My Personal Nurse Provide?

Visits with your personal nurse begin during pregnancy and continue through your child’s second birthday. Your nurse provides a safe space for support and educates you on a variety of pregnancy and parenting topics, such as:

  • Staying healthy during and after pregnancy
  • Bonding with and feeding your baby
  • Understanding infant and toddler development
  • Creating a safe home
  • Protecting your mental health
  • Accessing community resources
