Mercy High-Risk Breast Program

For women with a family history of breast cancer or other risk factors, Mercy Clinic Breast Surgery - Washington offers a high-risk breast cancer program to help those patients learn more earlier. Using an assessment model, information is collected from annual mammograms to calculate the estimated lifetime risk for developing breast cancer. At-risk patients may be eligible for additional screenings, including breast MRIs, genetic testing and additional consultations.

As part of our high-risk breast cancer program, we also offer:

  • Genetic testing for gene mutations
  • In-office ultrasounds that allow us to drain seromas, etc.
  • Screening assessments to help identify patients at high risk for breast cancer
  • Increased imaging surveillance based on national guidelines for high-risk patients
