Screening procedures offered through our outpatient testing program include:

  • Echocardiogram: A noninvasive test that uses sound waves to represent the motion of the heart’s chambers and valves.
  • Nuclear stress test: A nuclear scan given to patients who are unable to exercise in order to reveal areas of the heart that are not getting enough blood.
  • Vascular Doppler study: This noninvasive procedure is used to assess the blood flow in arteries and veins.
  • Cardiac rehab program: A unique, patient-centered program emphasizing rehabilitation through exercise, education and encouragement.
  • Ankle-brachial index: This test is noninvasive and is used to measure the blood flow to your legs.
  • Cardiac CT: Also known as “cardiac scoring,” this test is used to uncover heart disease years before you have any symptoms. The scan provides an accurate image of your heart, helping doctors detect even small amounts of calcium within the heart and coronary arteries.
  • Carotid artery screening: This simple, noninvasive test is used to measure the velocity of blood flow through the carotid artery.
