When it opened on Oct. 4, 2010, the Mercy Surgery Center - Jefferson was the first of its kind in Missouri, providing surgery on an outpatient basis or for those expecting a short hospitalization. The new facility combines the latest technology, highly-trained surgeons and a modern single-level floor plan.
The new surgical hospital includes:
- 2 endoscopy rooms
- 4 operating rooms
- 15 well-equipped, private patient suites
- Decentralized nursing stations
- Electric patient lift system
- High-definition imaging technology
- Low nurse to patient ratios
- Special equipment for patients with limited mobility
