Mercy Therapy Services serves patients recovering from surgery, illness or injury. Whether you’re just out of the hospital, moving from inpatient to outpatient therapy, referred by a primary care physician or dealing with chronic disability, we can maximize your recovery.
Our highly trained staff offers consultation, evaluation, and therapy for many conditions and injuries. We work closely with your physician to create a rehab program that helps you reach your greatest potential.
The fall prevention program focuses on reducing the risk of falling in the ambulatory geriatric population. The program involves an in depth fall risk assessment using the Mini-BESTest prior to and following participation in the exercise program. This evidence-based program offers increasingly challenging phases of exercises designed to improve balance, strength, and confidence.
Program participants should be Age 65 and older who are at risk for falls (either by provider assessment or self-assessment tool scoring 4 or higher).
