Our pharmacy team works closely with your care team to fill your prescriptions, review insurance coverage, discuss copays and answer any questions, so you can focus on your own well-being and recovery more fully.
What Are Discharge Prescription Services?
The Discharge Prescription Services program delivers prescribed medications directly to your bedside before you leave the hospital. Instead of stopping at a pharmacy on your way home, you can leave with the medications you need already in hand to jumpstart your recovery process.

How Discharge Prescription Services Work
Step 1: Your Provider Sends Prescriptions
Your Mercy physician or caregiver sends your prescriptions straight to Mercy Pharmacy.
Step 2: Pharmacy Review
Our pharmacy team reviews your medications, processes insurance, obtains any needed approvals and explores cost reduction options when available.
Step 3: We Contact You
A Mercy Pharmacy caregiver will contact you before you leave to discuss the program, review your prescriptions and share copay information.
Step 4: Get Your Prescriptions
Your meds are delivered to your room before you leave the hospital.
Step 5: Personalized Pharmacist Support
A Mercy pharmacist is available to review your medications, explain how to take them safely and answer any questions you may have.
Step 6: Go Home Ready
Leave the hospital with the medications you need and the confidence to continue your recovery safely from home.
