Breastfeeding may be natural, but if you and your baby are new to the process, it can take some time and practice to get right. Not to worry - with a little guidance and support from Mercy’s certified lactation consultants, you’ll both be pros in no time.

We’re here to help moms who are breastfeeding and experiencing trouble. We assist with a range of issues, including:

• How, when, and how much to feed
• Choosing the best breastfeeding positions
• How to help baby latch on properly
• Treating nipple irritation, breast engorgement and other conditions
• Selecting and using a breast pump
• Storing your milk

After delivery, and even when you go home, our lactation consultants are always available to help you and your newborn enjoy this very special and healthy way to bond.
