Mercy Senior VP – Chief Legal Officer
Jennifer Brown serves as Mercy’s senior vice president and chief legal officer. In this role she guides Mercy through an increasingly complex health care regulatory landscape and optimizes existing standards across Mercy to ensure local and regional compliance.
Before joining Mercy, Brown served as chief administrative officer and general counsel at Graphite Health, a nonprofit startup founded by Kaiser Permanente, Intermountain Health, SSM Health and Presbyterian Healthcare Services where she oversaw legal, human resources, finance, policy and compliance. She also served as chief legal officer at Baylor Scott & White Health in Dallas, Texas, and Presbyterian Healthcare Services in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Brown also served as Mercy’s first in-house vice president of senior transaction counsel from 2011 to 2014.
Education and Credentials
Brown earned a bachelor’s in political science and economics from Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas. She later earned her doctorate in jurisprudence from The University of Texas School of Law in Austin.
