About Jason Matthew Maddox, DO

Care Philosophy Family medicine provides lots of opportunities to help patients, but it also gives me a chance to hear their stories. Primary care providers need lots of different skills, but above all compassion and knowing how to listen. One of the best parts of any patient encounter is getting to hear someone's story: where they're from, how they got to where they are and where they want to go. Patients want to be heard and supported. I'm honored to be a part of their journey. I see all ages, from newborn to end of life. I couldn't pick just one age group that I enjoy the most. I've enjoyed every patient encounter with every age group. If I could offer my patients one piece of advice, find a primary care provider. The best time to find one is yesterday. it would be to reach out. We're part of your community. Many of us grew up here in Saint Louis. We're here to help you, and there's a great team behind you who want to get you to your goals.

It was EXTREMELY difficult to ambulate from my car parking spot into the building, even with a walker. Once inside, the wheelchair helped me immensely. It would have helped very much if I could have had provider employee assistance getting between my car and the building lobby, because my car walker does not do well on pavement, which puts me at risk for dangerous falls due to pavement cracks and gravel and wet pavement. In the future, this risk should be much reduced due to acquisition of a handicapped parking pass. Please keep your wheelchairs available near the entrance, but also perhaps allow for 5 minutes of staff availability to help me navigate with the wheelchair.

Dr Maddox spent the time to cover all my concerns, I really appreciate his time in going over everything with me.
