Care Philosophy In family medicine you get to take care of the whole family, from grandparents to toddlers and newborns. So I enjoy the challenge that comes with having a broad knowledge base. I'm also very passionate about treating diabetes and obesity. It's really rewarding to see my patients lose weight and improve their health.

        At this point Dr Herwig is my team lead for my health and wellness. I feel pretty luck to have found a good doctor after my primary care of 25 yrs decided to retire. Dr. Herwig asks if I have concerns and addresses those concerns honestly, openly while providing me a pathway(s) forward that focus guidance on appropriate life style choices and medical intervention where/if needed. She listens, not just hear. She works with me to achieve healthy best outcome. At the end of appoint she summarizes and informs of how we will keep and eye on current progress/issues and our path forward for upcoming appointment, vaccines and future labs when/where needed. She has a strong data driven ethos and does not shy away from recommending pharmaceuticals or life style corrections.
