About Nitesh Kumar Byrappa, MD

Care Philosophy I've been in the United States for eight years and I’ve worked in three states. Post-COVID, I worked in hospital medicine for a year. It changed my perspective and inspired me to pursue family medicine. As a family medicine provider, I can promote wellness and preventive care and help keep patients from needing to go to the hospital. My philosophy—that everyone deserves dignity and respect—aligns with Mercy’s values. That’s why I chose to come here, and I'm very happy about that. I like to teach and being in primary care gives me the opportunity to teach patients about their health and learn from them too. It also lets me meet people from different backgrounds and different walks of life. It's teamwork, we’re constantly learning from each other. The most rewarding part of my job is seeing a patient actually feeling great and having a better quality of life, and saying, “This is how I was six months ago and this is how I am now.” That's life- changing medicine for them.

The staff at client are awesome ,who treated me with dignity and respect,from the reception to Dr.Byrappa who listened and explained everything and am glad to have him as my primary care provider. I had a wonderful experience.

This was my first time with Dr Byrappa. First time with a new doctor I get alittle anxious but I felt so comfortable with him he is so easy to talk to and I felt like I had his full attention and he wasn't in a hurry to get to his next patient. I would highly recommend him to my friends and family.
