About Pamela Louise Kepus, NP-C

Care Philosophy I chose Mercy for the vision and the mission. I love people and doing what I can to help them through whatever stage of life they're in. I don't think many of the struggles people have are widely understood. That's what brought me to medicine and why I still do it. That's what I love about it. I try to establish a relationship with my patients by making them feel comfortable talking about their lives. Understanding who they are and where they come from affects their care, and until we know that, we don't know how best to help them. The best part about practicing medicine in a rural community is caring for whole families. When I started, a family practice would try to take care of all their needs. I still try to do that. You can fragment health care by referring people out. In rural health care, we can care for the whole person. I'm going to listen to patients, try to meet their needs, communicate well with them and show compassion in everything we do.
