        Okay, so when I sat down with Sarah, I just explained some of my desires for labor. And one of the things I said is I don't want routine care without informed consent. I told her one of the things that I don't need and never have is Pitocin after birth. I prefer hand palpitations and massages. And instead of acknowledging what I was saying, really she pushed the aftercare Pitocin on me with a conversation like I needed to change my mind and just go with what she was thinking. And ultimately she did say it was up to me, but the way she presented it to me made me feel like she was going to be against me if I didn't choose her way. Other than that, I didn't have too many more complaints.

        Sarah provided more education about postpartum life than I expected and am used to. I felt equipped with the resources I needed when leaving my appointment depending on how the next few days, weeks, months, or year of my life plays out. She seemed genuinely interested and vested in my ongoing health. I had a great experience using the midwives for this pregnancy!
