Sunny Anderson wins Sunshine Award

Environmental Services team member Sunilda “Sunny” Anderson was presented a Sunshine Award at a surprise announcement in her department office. Like the Daisy and Tulip awards, which recognize extraordinary service by nurses, techs and assistants, the Mercy Jefferson Sunshine Award has been established to honor co-workers in any other category.

Sunny received multiple nominations including one from a patient and one from a family member.

What a blessing to have Sunny to visit with while she cleaned the room. She was so friendly and had a beautiful smile. I truly think her name fits her.

Sunny was very attentive to family needs; she does an amazing job.

Sunny works on the ground floor Progressive Care Unit in Tower B. She received a certificate, a sunshine pin to wear on her identification badge, and a tray of sunshine-shaped cookies to share with her co-workers.
