Mercy Health Foundation Colors of Hope Gala

December 3, 2019

Mercy Health Foundation Springfield hosted its 4th Annual Mercy Colors of Hope Gala on Saturday, November 2 at the Oasis Hotel and Convention Center in Springfield. The event’s presenting sponsor was Johnson & Johnson Vision. With nearly 700 guests in attendance, close to $450,000 was raised. The event supported the following service lines: Mercy Eye, Mercy Kids, Mercy Heart & Vascular and Mercy Neurosciences.

The event kicked off with a VIP reception followed by an all guest reception. Guests could get photos taken at the selfie station, bid on items in the silent auction or interact with a state-of-the-art microscope from silver level sponsor, Carl Zeiss Meditec. After dinner, guests could take their bidding to the next level with the event’s live auction. Auctioneer and Mercy Health Foundation board member, Nick Sanders, took the event to record breaking levels.

After the live auction and call to appeal, which combined brought in nearly $80,000 alone, guests were entertained by Under the Streetlamp. The PBS favorite was established in 2009 by members of the Chicago company of the TONY-Award-Winning Musical Jersey Boys. The guys performed songs featuring Doo Wop, Motown and old time Rock n’ Roll favorites.

The night rounded out with a returning favorite – Silent Disco. Attendees wore headphones that played three different channels of songs.

Thank you to all our sponsors and donors who helped this be such a huge success. Save the Date for November 7, 2020 for the 5th Annual Mercy Colors of Hope Gala! Check out the event photos below
