Women in Southeast Missouri now have expanded access to pregnancy, childbirth and other women’s health care with Mercy Southeast’s newest obstetrician-gynecologist.
Rose Glynne, MD, serves patients at Mercy Clinic Women’s Health – 650 S. Mount Auburn in Cape Girardeau. Dr. Glynne joins an outstanding team of caregivers at this clinic, who offer a wide range of services including:
- Women’s annual exams
- Prenatal and postnatal care
- Ultrasounds
- Treatment of pelvic floor disorders

“I’m looking forward to meeting new patients here in Southeast Missouri,” Dr. Glynne said. “I want to take great care of my patients from birth until they’re 102.”
Prior to coming to Mercy Southeast, Dr. Glynne served in the United States Air Force as a staff physician and the chief of obstetrics and gynecology at Thomas Koritz Hospital on the Seymour Johnson Air Force Base in Goldsboro, North Carolina. She also cared for patients at several North Carolina and Arkansas hospital systems. She is certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
"Mercy was an attractive option for me, coming to a bigger hospital with surgical robotics and other advanced technology,” Dr. Glynne said. “I’ll have an opportunity to teach as well, which I’ve done in the past.”
Born and raised in western New York, Dr. Glynne earned her Bachelor of Arts in Biochemistry from Wells College in Aurora, New York, and her Doctor of Medicine from Tufts University School of Medicine in Boston. She completed her OB/GYN residency at Tufts Affiliated Hospitals, Harvard Medical School in Boston.
At home, Dr. Glynne is married to her husband, Donald, who is a chef, retired nurse and former minor league baseball umpire at the AAA level. Together, they have five grown children – four boys and one girl – and one granddaughter. They also have three dogs and three cats. Dr. Glynne enjoys being outside, spending time with her family, watching baseball and football, and participating in fantasy football leagues. She’s a fan of the Boston Red Sox and Los Angeles Chargers.
