Fifteen Mercy Hospitals Recognized Nationally for Excellence in Rural Health

ST. LOUIS - When a rural hospital excels, the impact reaches far beyond its walls. Neighbors feel it. Families feel it. Entire communities feel it. That’s why the latest recognition from The Chartis Center for Rural Health is especially meaningful. Fifteen Mercy hospitals have earned 2025 Performance Leadership Awards, placing them among the top performers nationwide in rural health.

These awards are based on the Chartis Rural Hospital Performance INDEX, a comprehensive evaluation that highlights hospitals achieving top-quartile performance in quality, patient experience and outcomes. For many of our rural communities, it’s further confirmation of what they already know: Mercy caregivers deliver exceptional care with skill, compassion and consistency.
