TROY, Mo. - Mercy has named Jacob Kliethermes the new administrator for Mercy Hospital Lincoln. In this role, Kliethermes will work closely with Mercy Lincoln’s leadership team to advance quality care, improve patient access and support the continued growth of services in the region.

“As Lincoln County continues to grow, both in population and in the complexity of health care services needed, it’s important for Mercy to have focused leadership to meet the community’s needs,” said Alan Smith, chief operating officer for Mercy Washington and Lincoln Communities.

Kliethermes has been with Mercy for more than 20 years. He joined Mercy Lincoln in 2017 as executive director of nursing, after serving in various leadership roles at Mercy St. Louis. In 2020, he took on the additional role of critical access liaison which allowed him to strengthen rural health connections across all Mercy communities.

During his last eight years in Troy, Kliethermes facilitated nearly 300% growth in urgent care volumes, more than 100% growth in therapy volumes and expanded outpatient radiology services. During this time, he also launched new programs including outpatient infusion, orthopedic services, added a dedicated pediatrician and managed a facility renovation.

“Jacob’s strong clinical background, proven leadership and deep knowledge of the Lincoln County community will serve him well in this new role,” Smith said. “These qualities will help him foster meaningful relationships with the community and ensure we continue delivering exceptional care.”

Kliethermes will report to Marie Moore, president for Mercy Washington and Lincoln Communities, and work with Smith, who will both maintain ongoing roles in the Lincoln County area.
