Osteopathic Manipulative Treatment (OMT) in Arkansas

OMT therapy involves the use of manually guided forces by a D.O. to improve structural and physiologic function. It involves the gentle realignment of the spine, joints and tissues for relief of strained or spastic musculoskeletal areas. OMM specialists use OMT to facilitate normal healing processes, reduce dysfunction and relieve pain. OMT does not involve the use of pain medications, surgery or needles. It involves hands-on manual treatment to gently align the spine, joints and tissue thereby reducing dysfunction and pain.

Examples of conditions that may benefit from OMT:

  • Carpal Tunnel Syndrome
  • Degenerative Joint Disease
  • Fibromyalgia
  • Foot and ankle pain unresponsive to other treatment
  • Hamstring strain
