Fluid Management Program

At Mercy Clinic Primary Care - Lebanon, our fluid management program offers safe and convenient fluid retention treatment in a comfortable clinic setting.

You'll be able to return home to rest between treatments, eliminating an unnecessary stay in the hospital. You'll also lower your risk of infection and your out-of-pocket medical costs on average.

During treatment, we'll use a diuretic medication that causes your kidneys to make more urine, removing extra fluid and salt. Once we start your diuretic treatment, we'll keep an eye on your body's response to the drug. Your weight will be checked daily to see if more treatments are needed.

You can get a referral from your primary care provider, ER doctor or other specialist, such as a cardiologist. Before visiting us, it's important to seek a medical opinion to make sure outpatient treatment will work for you.
