Mercy Family Center in Metairie, LA, employs psychiatrists that provide outpatient counseling, psychiatry, educational services and school based mental health services to children, youth, and adults throughout the Greater New Orleans area.

As part of the Mercy Health System, our mission is “As the Sisters of Mercy before us, we bring to life the healing ministry of Jesus through our compassionate care and exceptional service.”

In addition to providing the services listed below, we operate Mercy Learning Center.

Mercy Family Center is primarily a child and adolescent behavioral health practice. We reserve the right to screen clients for their appropriateness to our practice. Note: All applicants must fill out the initial intake form before acceptance to Mercy Family Center for service.

Project Fleur-de-lis

Project Fleur-de-lis™ is an internationally recognized school-based mental health program that provides individual and group interventions for school-age children and their families who have been impacted by traumatic events in their community.

Project Fleur-de-lis disseminates best practices through training and consultation to school-based mental health professionals, educators, school administrators, and community health care providers. As part of the National Child Traumatic Stress Network, Project Fleur-de-lis serves as a resource to other communities across the country and around the world that experience crises such as school and community violence, manmade and natural disasters, and traumatic grief.
