Mercy Family Center began in 1992 as an outpatient behavioral health clinic with three locations in the greater New Orleans area. Mercy Family Center is a primary referral site for the identification and treatment of attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), autism spectrum disorders like pervasive developmental disorder (PDD) and other childhood disorders.

Mercy Family Center is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. For the past 27 years, Mercy Family Center has consistently and creatively responded to the needs in the Greater New Orleans area by providing comprehensive community-based mental health care to children, adolescents, adults, and families. Mercy Family Center changes lives and gives hope to those in need.

Mercy Family Center is primarily a child and adolescent behavioral health practice. We reserve the right to screen clients for their appropriateness to our practice.
Regarding assessments for school-age children
The identification of conditions that prevent children from achieving in school has been an integral part of Mercy Family Center’s service to the New Orleans community for the past 19 years and have an ongoing commitment to provide this service. However, we are currently backlogged with requests for psychological or educational assessments.
Mercy Family Center’s Healthy Hospitality Walk-in Clinic offers psychiatry, medication management, and therapy to members of New Orleans’ hospitality industry. Services are offered twice monthly on a Monday at 3221 Behrman Place #105, New Orleans, LA 70114. We accept Medicaid, private insurance, self-pay and fee-assist.
