The Mercy Gastroenterology and IBD Center offers the services of a dedicated IBD nurse navigator. The nurse navigator coordinates dietary/nutrition, behavioral health and exercise needs for our patients. Our navigator is available by phone and email to answer questions, assist in scheduling and direct patients to appropriate services.
Advanced IBD Treatment Options
Our IBD team routinely provides advanced diagnostic and treatment techniques that aren’t widely available. These procedures include CT and MR enterography, chromoendoscopy and complex IBD surgery.
Complete IBD Care in One Location
The Mercy Gastroenterology and IBD Center offer many different services at one site in Oklahoma City. Gastroenterologists, colorectal surgeons, and nurse navigators provide a single location for patients who require multiple services. Patients can make gastroenterology and surgery appointments on the same day. Our on-site outpatient infusion treatment area gives our patients convenient access to the latest biologic infusion treatments along with IV fluids and iron infusions to help alleviate painful symptoms. We’re proud to be the only IBD center in the state with this streamlined service.

“Kelly is your go-to person for any problems or concerns experienced while receiving care through our office from scheduling appointments, to checking in, to seeing the doctor, to the checkout process “
Role: Schedule visits and process insurance.
“Juilia will get your visits scheduled and process your insurance information. On the day of your visit, Juilia will check you in, make sure you have a copy of your after visit summary and schedule your follow up visits. Juilia will cancel and make changes to your appointments per your request. Juilia is your go to person to make sure your appointments with our office are scheduled at a time that is convenient to you."
Role: Assist physician with visit.
“Melissa will help get you checked in for your in-person or virtual visit, update your chart and get your vitals. After the visit, Melissa will go over tests you need done, help schedule your procedures, explain bowel prep instructions and answer your questions. Melissa is your go to person for making sure your visit addresses what matters to you most and your after visit plan is ready to go!“
Role: Obtain prior authorization for biologics and other specialty IBD medications. Assist in appealing denials. Navigate patients through medication coverage and financial assistance applications. Coordinate scheduling biologic infusions.
