Catherine's Cafe

Catherine’s Cafe is located near the clinic entrance on the second floor and offers breakfast, sandwiches, salads, soup and snacks along with hand-crafted espresso drinks.

Monday - Friday:  6:00 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.

Hospital Cafeteria

Our cafeteria is located on the second floor of the hospital and offers a wide selection of hot and cold foods for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Cafeteria Weekday Hours:
Breakfast:  6:30 a.m. – 10:00 a.m.
Lunch & Dinner:  11:00 a.m. – 11:30 p.m.

Cafeteria Weekend Hours:
Breakfast:  6:30 – 10:00 a.m.
Lunch & Dinner:  11:00 a.m. – 7:30 p.m.

Joplin Hospital Gift & Flower Shop

Located on the 2nd floor, Mercy Gift Shop offers special-occasion and baby gifts, jewelry, magazines, books, greeting cards, snacks/soft drinks, travel toiletries, balloons and fresh flowers by Higdon’s. Flowers are delivered by volunteers of the Mercy Hospital Auxiliary. 

Joplin Hospital Interpreter Services

For the Deaf and Hearing Impaired

An interpreter, assistive listening devices, telecommunications devices (TDD) and closed-caption televisions are available at no cost for hearing-impaired patients. Ask your nurse for assistance.

Free Medical Interpreters Available

Language interpreters and translation services are available to patients at no cost when needed for effective communication of medical treatment, obtaining consent for procedures or tests, and providing education, instructions, information about medications and other information.

Joplin Hospital Pharmacy

The pharmacy at Mercy Hospital Joplin will fill and deliver prescriptions to your room prior to discharge. Please let your nurse know if you’d like to take advantage of this service. We accept most insurance plans, checks and all major credit cards. Please call 417-556-8936 to see if your plan is included. Medicaid benefits are also accepted. Please show your Medicaid papers to the pharmacy staff before you get your prescriptions filled.

Mercy Pharmacy - Joplin Hours:
Monday - Friday:  7:30 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.
Saturday:  9:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.

Joplin Hospital Spiritual Care

Mercy is a faith-based ministry committed to meeting the spiritual needs of our patients. We respect and honor the faiths and religious traditions of all. Chaplains are available to meet individual spiritual and religious needs. You can benefit from our spiritual care services by dialing 2472 from a hospital phone or calling 417-556-2472. As a ministry of the Catholic Church, Mercy makes the sacraments available to those who wish to receive them. Protestant communion and emergency baptism are available by request.

Hospital Chapel

Our chapel is located on the second floor of the hospital near the cafeteria entrance. Catholic Mass is held Friday at noon.
