Mercy Kids Convenient Care - Mid Rivers
A child's illness or injury is never convenient. But Mercy Kids Convenient Care is. Our nurse practitioners have extensive pediatric experience treating children of all ages, from infants to young adults 21 years of age. We offer both walk-in and pre-scheduled appointments.
Use the Hold My Place button on this page to reserve a time in advance or stop by during business hours. Hold My Place is available after midnight for appointments the next day and up to two hours before appointment times. So we're able to serve the most people effectively, please call and cancel any prescheduled appointments if you are unable to make it.

Conditions We Treat at the Convenient Care
- Allergies and sinus issues
- Allergic reactions (minor)
- Asthma attack (minor)
- Coughs
- Cold &/or Flu-like symptoms
- Earache/ear infections
- Eye irritation, pink eye and other eye problems
- Fever
- Foreign body removal not requiring sedation
- Headache
- Head injury (minor and without loss of consciousness)
- Initial foster screening
- Insect bites & minor animal bites
- Minor laceration repair with skin glue or steri-strips not requiring sedation
- Mild stomach pain
- Minor scrapes/cuts/bruises
- Nausea, vomiting and diarrhea
- Painful urination and urinary tract infections
- Rashes and skin problems (including lice, bedbugs and scabies)
- Sore throat/strep throat
- Sports and camp physicals, uncomplicated
- Sprains and strains
- Upset Stomach
- Other minor health conditions and injuries
Conditions We Do Not Treat at the Convenient Care
- Behavioral/mental health
- Fractures requiring imaging
- Head injury with red flags
- Severe abdominal pain / chest pain
- Chronic conditions (months in duration)
- Severe dehydration
- Seizures, altered mental status
- Complex lacerations/wounds (sedation required)
It's important you see the right person for the right care. It's best to reach out to your family doctor if your child has a long-term condition or needs:
- Stitches
- X-rays
- IV fluids
- Vaccines
- Physicals
- Blood work
Our nurse practitioners don't triage over the phone. Please contact your primary care office if you need help. And since our nurse practitioners at Mercy Kids Convenient Care rotate daily, we also encourage you to follow up with your child's primary care doctor after your visit.
