Mercy Pulmonary Function Testing - Springdale
Patients may be referred to Mercy Pulmonary Function Testing for a variety of reasons, including:
- To determine the cause of breathing problems
- To diagnose a lung condition, such as asthma or COPD
- To evaluate lung function before surgery
- To monitor treatment for lung disease
Our specialists care for adults and children by using a series of tests to accurately diagnose lung problems. Some of these tests include:
- Spirometry – measures the speed of air moving out of your lungs
- Lung volumes – tests the amount of air your lungs can hold
- Diffusion capacity – measures the rate that oxygen absorbs into your bloodstream
