Our radiation oncology team works closely with your medical oncologist and referring physician to provide the most effective treatment for your condition. Backed by years of research and experience, the team at Mercy Radiation Oncology at Patients First Drive in Washington, MO uses the latest technology to ensure the proper dosage and monitor your condition. We work with you one-one-one and are dedicated to helping you overcome this disease and resume your life.

How radiation oncology can help:

  • Highly targeted radiation kills tumors.
  • Maximum radiation is focused directly on the tumor, with less impact on healthy tissues and organs … and less side effects.
  • Radiation may be used with other innovative treatments, like chemotherapy, hormone therapy and immunotherapy, to fight against the growth of new cancer cells.

Advanced Linear Technology

Mercy Hospital Washington has the most advanced linear technology in the region, the Versa HD™. The new linear accelerator system, which now treats a broader spectrum of cancers, expands patient treatment capabilities with extreme precision, high reliability and superior tumor performance.

At Mercy, we’re dedicated to providing individualized cancer care. Through the use of this linear technology, we are able to offer improved treatment times, fewer side effects, and reduced recovery times. Watch the video below to learn more.
