What’s Home Infusion Therapy?

Infusion therapy refers to delivering medication directly into the veins. With Mercy Specialty Pharmacy, you can receive infusion therapy where you’re most at ease – at home. We deliver infusion medications to your home and help you use them safely. Mercy nurses visit your home to teach you and your caregivers how to administer, monitor and manage your treatment. Nurses return regularly to review your condition and progress. And pharmacists and nurses are just a phone call away – 24 hours a day. We’ll manage your medication regimen and work with your physician to supply the following types of injectable therapies:

  • Pain management
  • IV immunoglobin therapy (IVIg) and subcutaneous immunoglobin therapy (SCIg)
  • Specialty infusions for multiple sclerosis and gastrointestinal disorders
  • Antibiotics
  • Hydration and anti-nausea
  • Total parenteral nutrition (TPN, or IV nutrition)
  • Corticosteroids
