Chief Physician Executive, Gastroenterology
Sanjay Sikka, MD serves as Mercy’s chief physician executive of gastroenterology, leading endoscopy service redesign, GI oncology coordination and post-acute GI strategy. Dr. Sikka joined Mercy in 2016 as staff gastroenterology physician at Mercy Hospital Oklahoma City. Prior to Mercy, his previous roles included attending gastroenterology physician at Tulane University Medical Center in New Orleans; staff gastroenterology physician at Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston; and hospitalist at Evanston Hospital in Chicago.
Education and Credentials
Dr. Sikka earned his medical degree from the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine. He completed his internal medicine residency at the University of Illinois College of Medicine at Chicago and his gastroenterology fellowship at Washington University in St. Louis.
