Care Philosophy The aspect of my work that I'm most excited about is that it allows me to continue to learn and find new ways to help my patients - new ways to address old problems, which allows my patients to recover more quickly, with less pain and suffering and the ability to continue on with their lives.

I waited almost 2weeks to see the surgeon. He agreed my issue needed immediate surgery. Had surgery scheduled, but was told by scheduler unless I paid for charges $1260(amount they estimated was my responsibility after my insurance coverage) today, Dr Smith would not perform the surgery. I asked why they wouldn't just bill my insurance/United Healthcare, but received no explanation. But, if I couldn't afford $1260, they would accept $750. Then was asked what can I pay today. What's the point of having insurance? This office should tell patients before making an appointment they're expecting payment prior to any procedure so they don't waist 2 weeks and $50 copay. Planning to inform my insurance, my employer HR department and anyone else as needed.
