June 2, 2021

Mercy Hospital Logan County has been recognized for providing exceptional, high-quality health care for Logan County families in the most recent ratings from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, often referred to as CMS.

Mercy Hospital Logan County earned a 5-star rating, the highest possible designation in the survey. CMS grades hospitals on more than 100 quality measures, which are divided into seven categories: mortality, safety of care, readmission, patient experience, effectiveness of care, timeliness of care and effective use of medical imaging. The rankings are publicly available at www.medicare.gov/care-compare.

“It’s normal for people to think they might need to travel to a bigger city for quality hospital care, but this 5-star CMS rating shows great health care is available right here in Logan County,” said Bobby Stitt, administrator of Mercy Hospital Logan County. “At Mercy, we’re dedicated to bringing in new resources and technology, health care providers and services to this community we love.”
