ST. CHARLES, Mo. - Lindenwood University recently announced Mercy as the official medical provider for sports medicine and student health.
“An important aspect of being trusted to care for students who call Lindenwood home is taking care of their physical well-being. With Mercy as our partner, we make good on that promise and can provide excellent resources to our students,” Lindenwood President John R. Porter said. “The doctors and health care professionals at Mercy are vital partners in our sports medicine needs and help Lindenwood ensure that we are putting our students first.”
Representatives from Lindenwood University and Mercy met at center court during the Lindenwood men’s basketball game for the announcement of the multi-year agreement. Mercy Service Line President for Orthopedics & Sports Medicine Matt Wright joined Porter, along with representatives from both Mercy and Lindenwood Athletics.
“We are excited to work with Mercy, such a well-respected medical provider in the area,” said Lindenwood Vice President of Intercollegiate Athletics Jason Coomer. “The collaboration has already proven to be a great resource for our student-athletes who have received world-class medical care. From Mercy’s senior leadership to the highly respected team of physicians, the relationship has been nothing short of first-class. We couldn’t be happier to have such a dedicated group join the Lindenwood Athletics team.”
In addition to partnering with Lindenwood University, Mercy also provides care for several area high schools, Division I institutions and the St. Louis Cardinals.
