March 12, 2024

Bobby Stitt, administrator for three Mercy hospitals in Oklahoma, was recently named to Becker’s Hospital Review 2024 Rural CEOs to Know list. He is one of only two rural CEOs in the state of Oklahoma and the only rural hospital administrator at Mercy to make this list.

Stitt leads Mercy Hospital Kingfisher, Mercy Hospital Logan County and Mercy Hospital Watonga, overseeing organizational structure, strategic direction, financial performance and community involvement.

“What makes Bobby so exceptional and deserving of this recognition is his humility and heart to serve,” said Dr. John Mohart, Mercy’s president of community operations. “In a time when many critical access hospitals are struggling, Bobby has led his teams to operational and financial success while improving patient satisfaction scores at all three of his facilities.”

The Becker’s list honors executives who are committed to improving health outcomes and expanding their facilities so rural communities continue to have access to excellent health care.

Stitt is a U.S. Air Force veteran who began his career in health care as a nurse at Mercy Hospital Oklahoma City and has served in a variety of patient care roles that have informed his approach to leadership.
