OKLAHOMA CITY – Oklahoma native Dr. Katie Jones knew instantly during her medical school rotations that addressing the health care needs of women was her calling.
“I love helping women prioritize their health, validate their concerns and provide reassurance and support,” said Dr. Jones, an obstetrician and gynecologist (OB/GYN) who recently joined Mercy Clinic OB/GYN – Mercy Plaza Suite 208. “Plus, it’s always fun getting to know their story at all seasons of life.”
Dr. Jones has nine years of experience as an OB/GYN. She comes from a long line of medical professionals. Her father and grandfather were both physicians, and her mom is a nurse.
In her role at Mercy, she provides gynecological care, including well-woman exams, preventive health screenings and surgical options for certain conditions. She also offers prenatal care and delivers babies at the new Love Family Women’s Center at Mercy Hospital Oklahoma City, which opened in April.
Her goal is to make women feel comfortable and calm while she partners with them to create a care plan that meets their needs.
Dr. Jones received her bachelor’s degree in biochemistry and molecular biology from Oklahoma State University in Stillwater and her doctorate in osteopathic medicine from Oklahoma State University Center for Health Sciences in Tulsa. She completed her internship and OB/GYN residency at SSM Health St. Anthony Hospital in Oklahoma City. She is board certified by the American Osteopathic Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
In her spare time, she enjoys decorating cookies and creating floral arrangements.

The Love Family Women’s Center has 15 large labor and delivery rooms, seven antepartum rooms, 47 postpartum rooms and three cesarean section rooms with pre- and post-operative recovery rooms. An obstetrics emergency department is staffed by obstetricians who can address urgent pregnancy-related concerns 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
