ARDMORE, Okla. – Mercy’s new robotic arm-assisted orthopedic surgery system in Ardmore will help local patients recover faster from joint surgeries and benefit from more natural movement as they heal.
Two surgeons at Mercy Clinic Orthopedic Surgery – Ardmore, 731 12th Ave. NW Suite 203, are trained to use the high-tech system. Their expertise ensures Ardmore-area patients have advanced care available without traveling to Oklahoma City or Dallas.

About Robotic-Arm Assisted Surgery
The robotic arm-assisted system is minimally invasive and used to perform partial and total knee replacements and total hip replacements.
Surgery starts with precise measurements and a high-definition 3D model of the joint. Trackers used during the procedure make adjustments to even the slightest movement. Surgeons can more easily fine-tune plans during surgery to provide individualized treatment at every step.
The result is improved surgical accuracy, a shorter hospital stay, more natural movement and faster recovery. Incisions and scars are smaller, implants are positioned in the optimal location, and healthy cartilage and bone are protected.
