KINGFISHER, Okla. Mercy Hospital Kingfisher’s new Senior Life Solutions program helps seniors with their unique needs if they experience anxiety or depression because of life changes as they age.

The program officially opened Friday with a blessing and ribbon cutting at the hospital, located at 1000 Hospital Drive. Mercy caregivers and a chaplain gathered to celebrate the program’s start and bless it with prayers of thanksgiving.

“This is a critical program that ensures seniors don’t have to suffer in silence while they deal with very common, but unique, issues related to aging,” said hospital Administrator Bobby Stitt. “It’s important that not only Kingfisher seniors know about the program, but that everyone who knows and cares about them be aware of it as well. Seniors can refer themselves to the program, and so can their friends and family.”
