Victoria Damba, DO, joined Mercy Convenient Care – 1508 Edgemont in Perryville this month. She is a family medicine trained physician with experience in both inpatient and outpatient primary care. Prior to her career as physician, she cared for patients in nearly all spectrums of nursing.

She completed her family medicine residency at Mineral Area Regional Medical Center in Farmington, where she worked almost her entire physician career before moving to an urgent care setting.

Born in St. Louis and raised in Ste. Genevieve County, Dr. Damba is looking forward to seeing new patients in a smaller, more rural setting.

“I have worked in health care my whole life, and I really like urgent care,” Dr. Damba said. “The idea of working in Perryville just sounded right for me. I’m excited to return to a small community, where I feel like I’m part of a health care family.”

Dr. Damba has been married to her husband, who is an emergency room physician, for 31 years. Together, they have three grown children. They spend most of their free time visiting their children and grandchildren in Florida, Arkansas and Buffalo, New York, where their youngest daughter is an OB/GYN resident. They also enjoy outdoor activities, whether it be walking, hiking, running or their current favorite, bicycling.
