Prospective students interested in a career in health care are invited to the Spring Preview Day at Mercy’s Southeast Missouri Hospital College of Nursing and Health Sciences.
The annual event slated for 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday, March 15, provides high school students and anyone looking for a new career an opportunity to check out health care fields offered by the College of Nursing and Health Sciences, 2001 William St., Cape Girardeau.
At the open-house style event, visitors can learn about health care careers, tour the college, see lab demonstrations and meet with faculty, current students and health care professionals. Financial aid resources will also be available. Presentations regarding admissions will be at 9:30 a.m. and 11 a.m.

“This is one of our favorite annual events, a chance to invite those interested in health care and show them how meaningful these careers can be for patients and themselves,” said Jeremy Waterbury, admissions counselor at Mercy’s Southeast Missouri Hospital College of Nursing and Health Sciences. “Our college is growing, and we have so many paths students can take. It’s not just a college for those getting started. We offer several paths for current health care professionals to expand their education. We also have small class sizes, which really helps students bond with one another and get one-on-one attention with our staff and faculty.”
