Mercy Southeast is expanding access for patients in need of gastroenterology care with its newest provider.
Mimi Kingery, physician assistant, joins Mercy Clinic Gastroenterology – Broadway, 1723 Broadway, Suite 315, Cape Girardeau, alongside a skilled team of specialists. The clinic provides a full range of services to diagnose and treat digestive health disorders including Crohn’s disease, diverticulitis, diverticulosis, irritable bowel syndrome and more. She’ll also travel to Mercy Hospital Stoddard in Dexter, Missouri, on a regular basis to care for patients closer to their homes.

“I’m excited to come on board to a well-established team of GI providers in a field I’m enthusiastic about,” Kingery said. “I hope to keep learning and make a positive impact on my patients’ care.”
Kingery earned an Associate of Arts degree at Three Rivers Community College in Poplar Bluff and a Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry at Southeast Missouri State University in Cape Girardeau. She also earned a master’s degree in health sciences and physician assistant studies from the University of South Alabama in Mobile, Alabama. Since 2011, she’s provided GI care in Pensacola, Florida.
“I’ve been wanting to relocate back to Southeast Missouri to be closer to family and friends for some time, and I was fortunate to find this position to allow me to come home and continue caring for patients,” she said.
Kingery was born and raised in Poplar Bluff. She has two dogs and one cat and spends her free time traveling with friends, cooking and relaxing at her family farm.
