Mercy’s Southeast Missouri Hospital College of Nursing and Health Sciences Celebrates New Graduates

Mercy’s Southeast Missouri Hospital College of Nursing and Health Sciences awarded 47 degrees at its fall 2025 commencement ceremony.

This semester's commencement took place Saturday, Dec. 6, at La Croix Church in Cape Girardeau. Katie Finder, chief nursing officer at Mercy Hospital Southeast, served as the commencement speaker.

The College of Nursing and Health Sciences conferred 20 Associate of Applied Science degrees in nursing and eight Associate of Applied Science degrees in diagnostic medical sonography. Nineteen students are graduating from the college’s practical nursing program to become licensed practical nurses (LPN).

Three students were recognized for outstanding academic performance by earning the highest grade point average in their respective programs: Marki Coomer of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, Practical Nursing; Jessica M. Roberts of Jonesboro, Illinois, Nursing; and Riley Ledure of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, Diagnostic Medical Sonography.
