Dr. Randy Brown joins a talented team of specialists including Dr. Russell McElveen at Mercy Clinic Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery – Broadway, 1723 S. Broadway, Suite 210, in Cape Girardeau. Dr. Brown previously cared for patients at Mercy Southeast 13 years ago and decided to return to the Southeast Missouri area.
“Alongside Mercy administration, regional and local physicians, I wanted to come back to help rebuild the cardiothoracic and vascular surgery program so patients can get the surgical care they need close to home.”
Born and raised in Perryville, Dr. Brown earned a bachelor’s degree and a Doctor of Medicine from the University of Missouri-Kansas City’s accelerated six-year program. He completed a general surgery residency at the University of Oklahoma-Tulsa. Dr. Brown then completed a cardiothoracic surgery fellowship at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles.
