Wine and Chocolate Pairing Event to Benefit Heart Care

February 3, 2026

Mercy Health Foundation Southeast will present its annual Wine and Chocolate Pairing this month to support its HeartStrong Fund and other nonprofit organizations across the region.

The Wine and Chocolate Pairing will be held Friday, Feb. 20, beginning at 6 p.m. at the Cape Girardeau Country Club, 250 Country Club Drive. Guests will enjoy house-made chocolate and wine pairings, hors d’oeuvres, live music and a silent auction, all supporting the purchase of automated external defibrillators (AED) to be awarded to local nonprofit organizations.

“In a cardiac arrest, every second counts, so having an AED close at hand and ready to use can make all the difference in a patient’s survival and recovery,” said Shelby Bentley, senior development officer at Mercy Health Foundation Southeast. “This event helps us expand access to these life-saving devices throughout our community.”

Mercy Health Foundation’s HeartStrong Fund also provides advanced services and technologies to enhance cardiovascular care with Mercy’s highly skilled team of cardiologists, who diagnose and treat heart conditions for patients in Southeast Missouri. The fund also provides scales and pedometers to monitor treatment for congestive heart failure during cardiac rehabilitation.

Tickets may be purchased for $50 each, and corporate sponsorships are also available. Learn more about sponsorships or purchase tickets online at mercyhealthfoundation.net/WineAndChocolate or by calling Mercy Health Foundation Southeast at 573-519-4921.
