For the fourth year in a row, Mercy has earned a spot on Becker’s 165 Top Places to Work in Health Care list. The recognition highlights hospitals and health organizations that make their people a true priority and create workplaces where caregivers can grow, feel supported and find meaning in their work.
What stood out to Becker’s this year is the way Mercy’s mission continues to guide everything from hiring to daily culture. More than 50,000 caregivers across five states are supported through strong benefits, wellness and mental health resources, tuition assistance, flexible scheduling options and tools like the Mercy Works on Demand app. Caregivers facing unexpected challenges can also turn to Mercy’s crisis fund or its PTO donation program for extra support when life gets difficult.
Growth and connection are a big part of the picture, too. Mercy University, mentorship programs and career‑advancement pathways give caregivers room to learn and move forward. Recognition programs and volunteer time off help people feel appreciated and stay connected to the communities they serve. And through surveys and ambassador programs, caregivers have a real voice in shaping the workplace. In the most recent survey, 81 percent of caregivers reported positive or neutral views, placing Mercy above health care benchmarks.
